Winter Rest

Winter Rest

When daylight dwindles, and the weather turns cold here in New York, the hens slow their egg production and almost completely stop laying in January. Rather than instill artificial light onto them to force lay, we allow them a full proper ladies' rest in this downtime.

They are served extra healthy nutrients and soon grow glossy vibrant feathers, bright red combs and waddles, preparing for the year's season of fashionable spring looks!
